We stayed in the Queen bedroom for 4 nights and found the whole experience except food disappointing and definitely overpriced. First of all, If youre looking for standard hotel services this place is not for you. For example you dont have access to any kind of room service since the staff are only on site for breakfast, lunch and supper at the restaurant and you dont even have a telephone in your room! You only get cleaning service once a day if you want it or not! ( again no tags on the door or something like that is provided). The place is not maintained properly and we got a leaky roof because of rain on our last day and I ended up with a bunch of wet clothes! We were just lucky none of devices were in the leaky spot. The food on the other hand is awesome and I gave them three stars just because of that otherwise itd be one or none if I could. The menu was only in French but the waiter explained the whole menu to us. I would not recommend this place for stay but the restaurant worth trying.
Known for it's terroir cuisine, Maison William Wakeham did not disappoint. The service was outstanding (opened the kitchen early for my party of 5) and the food delicious. The charming setting is for a mature clientele, but they still accommodated my 2 and 6 year old. We really felt like we got to experience a little bit of Gaspesian culture.
The gentleman who checked us in look and sound like an Inn keeper. He was friendly and told us the history of our room. Had to say that there wasn't much to do in Gaspe except for its beautiful scenery and the best looking room (ours was called the Rustique) I have ever seen.
Excellent staff and location. The inn and rooms is clean and comfortable.
We were there in late September, early in the evening, so it wasn't very busy. The service was excellent and the server very friendly and considerate. The wine list was great for this region, and our wine was excellent. The food was the best part - it was marvellous - the best meal we have had since we left home a month and a half ago. Superb. Too bad they close at the end of September until next spring.
