This is the house that my great-grandfather, Luther Coffin, built with his own hands, on the land that my ancestors settled on 250 years ago. My grandfather was born here, as was my mother, my aunt, and my uncles.After staying in the summer kitchen this year, I am very happy that Danielle and Laurent have created a warm and inviting home for their guests. The house is filled with joy, humour, stories, and fabulous food, just as I remember from my childhood.The house itself is beautiful, filled with comfortable antique furniture and period artwork. In front of the house is a private beach for birdwatching, beachcombing, swimming, and watching sunsets. Behind the house is a private forest, interweaved with walking trails leading to an old hunting cabin.While Danielles breakfasts are delicious, fresh seafood is the specialty of many of the nearby restaurants. For guests who want to cook their own meals, theres also a small kitchen and dining room with a beautiful view of the bay.Nearby is Forillon National Park, with spectacular hills and pristine, isolated, beaches where seals come to watch you swim. Whale-watching boat tours, horseback riding or sea-kayaking are all close by too. An hours drive away is the magnificent Perc Rock and Bonaventure Island, with its huge bird colonies.As beautiful as Gasp is, and as comfortable as the old Coffin house is, it is Danielle and Laurent that make Le Meilleur des 2 Mondes a wonderful bed & breakfast. Theyve worked for 15 years to make a home-away-from-home for travelers from around the world. They are gracious and accommodating hosts who work tirelessly to ensure their guests have a marvelous vacation. Perfectly bilingual, they will fill you with gourmet food and tell you hilarious stories before advising you on how to find spectacular spots to visit. This is a home filled with love and laughter, in one of the most picturesque areas of the world.
A due passi dall'ingresso sud del parco Forillon. Avevamo a disposizione la parte posteriore della casa. Saloncino e bagno su piano terra, due comode camera da letto al primo piano. Buona la wifi. I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili. Le colazioni, ovviamente non stile italiano, vengo preparate a mano dalla proprietaria e sono davvero ottime.
Un gte excellent o tout y est parfait, un accueil chaleureux, des changes intressants, des petits djeuners varis et excellents, une chambre spacieuse, propre, joliment dcore et un super grand lit pour bien dormir aprs avoir suivis les conseils de Laurent et Danile pour l'exploration de la gaspsie ! Si nous revenons, nous y retournerons sans hsiter.
Danielle et Laurent sont des gens authentiques, passionns, visionnaires et brillants. De laccueil jusquau dpart, leurs paroles, leurs attentions et leur gnrosit sont teintes de bienveillance. Ils nous ont fait un feu un soir. Ils ont modifi mon djeuner pour satisfaire mes choix alimentaires ( je suis vgane). La maison est trs belle. Grande. De bon got. Les djeuner sont succulents. Le lit de notre chambre tait trs confortable. La maison trs propre. Mais le plus tonnant, cest que nous sommes arrivs chez des trangers et quen 2 jours, nous avons quitt des amis.
